At Asterdale, we value promoting leadership opportunities for our pupils and recognise the impact this has for pupils personal and social development. 

From Years 1 - 6, pupils have opportunity to be 'elected' to roles including - 

Reading Ambassadors - Promoting the love of reading to their peers and being role models for reading across school 

PE Leaders - Promoting physical activity and competitive sport across school 

School Council - Planning and participating in whole-school events working alongside their peers and school leadership team 

i-Vengers - emphasising the importance of e-safety and promoting our computing curriculum across school

This also provides further opportunity to embed the British Values of tolerance and democracy for our pupils frequently in our curriculum teaching
