This is some of what the children get up to in Forest School in Year 3:

• Health and safety briefing and rules, doing a danger walk, identifying hazards with yellow cones, then following with a group discussion.
• They have built shelters for forest animals and camouflaged them with leaves and twigs. Considered animal features with the tree game.
• Made Bird feeders using egg cartons, bird seed and threading cheerios.
• Hunted for Mini beasts using magnifying glasses.
• Created spark ignition using fire steels.
• Celebrated RSPB bird week, creating collage Robins.
• Made bark rubbings, identifying tree species.
